Forestry England Rendlesham Camping offers a peaceful escape surrounded by nature. Our 10-acre site features a variety of pitches suitable for tents, caravans, and motorhomes. Enjoy the serenity and fresh air in a beautiful setting perfect for relaxation and outdoor adventures.
The campsite has a small onsite shop and a facility block with showers, toilets and an outside wash up area. All our electric pitches are 16 amps and each pitch is a standard 8 x 5 meters. We also have a few jumbo pitches offering a larger 10 x 6 meter pitch.
We are have a smaller camping glade called "Halts Hideaway" offering 10 non-electric pitches in a more intimate area, perfect for larger gatherings of family, friends or to celebrate special milestones. Backpackers walking the Suffolk coastal path and cyclists enjoying the wolf-way are welcome to join us for an overnight stay. DofE groups are welcome to stay on Halts Hideaway as part of their expedition.
Guests can immerse themselves in the ever-changing landscapes of Suffolk’s coast and heathlands and visit the location of the famous 1980 UFO sighting. The campsite offers direct access to cycling, walking, and hiking trails that wind through the lush forest of Rendlesham. Learn about the area's rich history, including its connections to RAF Woodbridge during WWII, and access a fantastic children’s play area and café easily accessible within Forestry England Rendlesham main car park a short 2 minute walk from the campsite.
We welcome you too explore the charming market town of Woodbridge, known as Britain's happiest place to live, where they’ll find unique artisan shops, cosy cafes, and scenic walks along the River Deben. Just a short drive away is the awe-inspiring Anglo-Saxon burial site at Sutton Hoo, offering plenty of family-friendly activities.
The Suffolk Punch Trust allows guests to see the beautiful Suffolk Punch Horse up close, whilst Bawdsey Key in the summer offers chance to cross the River Deben to old Felixstowe by foot or bike. With something for both solo travellers and families, Rendlesham campsite is the ideal spot for a memorable getaway.
